Núi Một and Quy Hòa Pass: Great Views, Real Landslide Risk (Autumn 2026 Update)
Two of Quy Nhơn's best viewpoints by motorbike are the Núi Một hill and the Quy Hòa pass. Both show landslide damage in the creator's footage. This update is based on rides filmed between 27 and 31 October 2026 by local channel Người Quy Nhơn.
Where Núi Một Is
The creator says the hill runs from Hà Thanh bridge to near Tháp Đôi road (video, 9:53). From the top you can see the lagoon and the port area. He calls it "a very beautiful view spot" (video, 0:00). The Tháp Đôi (Twin Towers) sits right at the foot of the hill and can be seen from above (video, 14:31). That makes the two an easy pairing for one outing.
What Has Changed: Landslides
⚠️ Current Landslide Status (October 2026)
- The slope has been sliding after the recent storm and floods. The creator says it is worse this year than a year ago (video, 1:00).
- There is now a fence and a sign reading "Khu vực sạt lở đất cấm vào" (landslide area, no entry). A year ago there was no fence (video, 1:19).
- Houses at the foot have been abandoned because of pushed-down earth, although a few residents still live there (video, 9:45).
- The path up is "quite slippery" (video, 2:43).
Our advice: Treat Núi Một as a viewpoint for dry days only, and stay outside the fenced zones. Don't go up right after heavy rain. The creator ends his visit hoping "the rain eases, because rain is worrying" (video, 12:19).
The Cầu Đôi Crossing
Getting to the hill means passing Cầu Đôi. The creator warns that the sightline there is "quite dangerous." He has ridden it many times and still gets startled (video, 10:31). Slow down there.
One viewer noted that the road to Núi Một "now looks far tidier than it used to" (comment on this video). The access road has improved even as the slope has got worse.
Quy Hòa Pass
- Construction is ongoing on the pass (video, 3:40).
- A landslide point is being rebuilt. The creator doubts it will last unless the base is stabilised or the runoff is diverted, because water from the slope pours onto exactly that spot (video, 4:49).
- The stream beside the road gets "terrifying" in flood season (video, 6:50).
- Go early. His plan was to ride up and then on into Quy Hòa. By midday it was too late (video, 4:20).
- Fuel was 25,400 VND ($1.10) at the pump that day (video, 10:10).
Safety Checklist
- Check recent weather: If it rained heavily in the last day or two, skip the slopes.
- Ride in the morning: Better light, less heat, and more time for onward travel.
- Stay outside fenced or signed landslide zones.
- Take Cầu Đôi and the pass curves slowly: Poor sightlines and construction.
Combining With Other Sights
- Tháp Đôi (Twin Towers): At the foot of Núi Một. Ancient Cham towers, visible from the hilltop. See our FAQ for details.
- Quy Hòa town: If you ride the pass early, continue into Quy Hòa for a coastal village experience.
